Please help us to keep the yard a happy, safe and efficient place by observing the following:- Horse Riding Horse and pony Riding is a potentially dangerous sport. All animals can be unpredictable. The horses and ponies at Hideaway Farm have been carefully chosen and schooled to provide as safe a ride as possible. However we would recommend that clients consider taking out full personal accident cover. Hard Hats Suitable Headgear must always be worn when riding or handling horses. We provide a full range of skull caps for use in the school, but if clients wish to buy their own then they must comply with the requirements of British Standard BS EN 1384 PAS 015. Footwear Please make sure that suitable footwear is worn for all riding activities. Riding boots or Jodhpur boots are ideal although any sensible footwear with a heel is acceptable for occasional riding. Trainers and similar shoes are not suitable for riding and could constitute a hazard. Children Stables and farmyards are places of potential danger to children from both equipment and animals. Children are very welcome at Hideaway Farm, but for their own safety they must be at all times under the supervision of a parent or responsible adult. Cancellations Horse riding is an all weather sport. We understand that there are occasions when booked lessons must be unavoidably cancelled at short notice. However, please remember that the horse preparation, grooming, helpers and instructor are all provided for the lesson. We would be very reluctant to introduce charges for late cancellations so please make every effort to give us 24 hours notice.
